November in the desert means cooler temps, the return of the snow birds, and plenty of things to do in Palm Springs – including events, festivals, concerts, and more in Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Indio, Cathedral City, and the entire Coachella Valley.
Here’s the best of what’s happening in the desert for November, 2018…
Greater Palm Springs Pride – November 1 – 4
The largest LGBT gathering of the year in the Coachella Valley, Pride Weekend includes a a two-day festival on Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 3 & 4), parade (10 am on Sunday), and a host of other events.

Street – November 2
Street, which doesn’t actually take place on a street of any kind, will be held at the top of a parking garage (perhaps they should call it “Lot”?) at the Westfield Palm Desert mall on Friday, November 2 from 5 to 11 pm.
The event will include live music, art, food trucks, tequila and whiskey bars, beer from La Quinta Brewing Company, and more. It’s free to attend.
Don Henley – November 2
The eight-time Grammy winner comes to Rancho Mirage to perform his solo hits and, fingers crossed, all those classic Eagles tracks you love. Henley was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, and received the Kennedy Center Honors last year as a member of the Eagles. Tickets for his performance at The Show are a tad bit pricey – with the lowest ticket going for $175.

Stunt Dog Experience – November 4
Stunt Dog Experience is exactly what it says it is: dogs performing some cool and incredible stunts. Tricks, big air stunts, comedy antics, dancing dogs, athletic feats, and more. Best of all, this Sunday matinee at evening show at Palm Desert’s McCallum Theater tickets starting at just $10.
Hot Air Balloon Festival – November 16 & 17
I can’t keep track of all the things that are part of this – there are tethered rides, a balloon glow dinner, a car show, and a food truck thing, to name a few – with events happening at The Westin in Rancho Mirage and Downtown Cathedral City. Check the site for all the info.
Palm Springs Props & Hops – November 17
Over 25 craft breweries will be on hand at the Palm Springs Air Museum for the 6th annual event – plus there will be food trucks, classic planes, live music and more from noon to 5 pm.
Important: If you plan on going, get your tickets right now for half price before it’s too late.
Brew in LQ – November 17
Wait. What’s this? Another beer drinking event on November 17? Why yes it is. Not sure why these people don’t talk and maybe space these things out, but it is what it is. La Quinta’s festival goes from 5 pm to 9pm (so be sure to hydrate beforehand, then grab a Lyft and do both!). The fest takes place at The Civic Center on Calle Tampico, and will cost you $30 to get in (in advance) or $35 at the door. It’s $10 if you are a designated driver.
Note: we tried to fix this whole two beer fests on the same freakin’ day thing, but, unfortunately, no one would listen to us.
Paula Abdul – November 17
Hopefully MC Skat Kat makes an appearance during Abdul’s concert, part of her first solo tour in over 25 years – which hits Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio on Saturday, November 17 at 8pm. Tickets start at $39.
