A deputy conducted a records check on a 38-year-old man who lived in the area and determined that the man had an arrest warrant. There was an altercation and the deputy opened fire when he saw the man pull out a weapon.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment with injuries that police say wouldn’t prevent him from being booked into jail in the immediate future.
