A Cathedral City man was arrested early Sunday morning after officers with the Palm Springs Police Department responded to fight that broke out in the parking lot of the Sun Center, home to Zeldas Nightclub.
Palm Springs PD received a call about “numerous people fighting” in the parking lot in the 600 Block of S. Palm Canyon, according to a Facebook post from the department.
Security personnel told arriving officers that they located a handgun on one of the people fighting and detained the man.
Offficers took possession of the handgun and Jair Santiago, 25, was arrested for possession of a concealed firearm and possession of a loaded handgun in public.
The arrest and fight comes less than a month after a fatal shooting in the same parking lot.
