A person is dead after a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle in Cathedral City.
A vehicle driven by former Cathedral City Councilmember Paul Marchand collided with a motorcycle on Cathedral Canyon Drive a little before 6 pm on Monday night, reports KESQ. Police told the TV station they believe the crash was caused because the motorcyclist was driving too fast.

Marchand was on the city council from 2002 to 2010.
