Eight apartments were evacuated on Friday night and all because someone in a golf cart hit and ruptured a natural gas line, according to Riverside County Fire Department officials.
The accident happened just before 5 p.m. at the Royal Palms Condominiums on Breezy Pass Road, just north of Woodhaven Country Club.
“Eight residences (in) four duplex units were evacuated as a precaution until So Cal Gas…repairs the broken line,” fire officials said in a written statement.
