Palm Desert has a new grocery store.  The old Von’s building in Palm Desert on Highway 111 across from the mall, is now a Smart & Final.

The spot, which was a Haggen’s store for about a minute and a half, reopened Wednesday as a Smart and Final.

The grocery chain is known for offering products in bulk – such as this gigantic jar of pickles that I grabbed for under six bucks.

Seriously, anyone want a pickle? I have plenty.

All in all the store, so far at least, seems pretty nice with a lot of great deals.

You might want to check it out – and be sure to grab me some pickles while you are there.
