A Palm Desert woman was arrested early Friday morning in connection to the discovery of a body inside a trash bin inside a gated La Quinta neighborhood on Thursday.
Police were called to Parkway Esplanade about 11:41 am on Thursday. When they arrived they located a male body inside a trash bin, according to a news release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
After an investigation, police arrested Cristina Noelle Canimo, 32, at 3 am Friday morning. She was detained on the same street where the body was found, reports the Desert Sun.
She was booked at the Indio Jail on suspicion of murder with malice.

Neighbors told KMIR that the house where the body was found is used as an end-of-life elderly care facility.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.
