Palm Springs Police are investigating after a couple says they were robbed at knife point in Palm Springs on Wednesday.
The pair, who KESQ reports were tourists, stopped in their car at the intersection of Eastgate and Tramview to take photos of the mountain. A female remained in the car and was approached by a black male adult, described as approximately 18-25 years old and wearing dark clothing.
The suspect held a knife up close to the victim and demanded her purse, according to authorities. She gave up her purse to the suspect and he fled on foot.
