Palm Springs Police arrest man on Amtrak train for indecent exposure, public intoxication

A 63-year-old man was arrested in December for indecent exposure and public intoxication after he was allegedly naked and crawling around an Amtrak train.

The incident happened on December 7, but KESQ reported on it today. Officers were called to the Amtrak station, at North Indian Canyon Drive and Palm Springs Station Road, about 3:30 am for a report of a nude male harassing passengers on the train.

Police found the man, identified as Doyle Walker, fully clothed and passed out on the train. The conductor said that Walker had been crawling around the cabin naked.

Walker said that he had consumed “four beers and one Jack and Coke” before getting on the train and that he may have “overdid it.” He told officers that he he had been sober and that he had taken his first drink in years due to the recent passing of his daughter.

Walker was booked into Larry D. Smith Correctional in Banning on $500 bail. Records do not list any upcoming court dates.
