Palm Springs shattered a rainfall record Wednesday

Just one day after setting a hilarious, minuscule record for rainfall, Palm Springs broke another record for precipitation – only this time there was much more of the wet stuff.

The previous record for rain on July 11 was only .03 inches of rain, but Wednesday night Palm Springs received over an inch of rain (1.08″ total) – which shattered the precious record for rainfall for the date.

There is still a chance of rain on Thursday, but it looks like the humidity and possible thunderstorms will move out for a few days, according to the forecast – only to return at the beginning of next week.
