An illegal marijuana grow at a Palm Springs home was discovered by police after a concerned citizen called to report water running out of the garage.
Palm Springs Code Enforcement Officers responded to the home on Chuperosa Road on December 5. They arrived to find strong odor of marijuana emitting from house, according to a news release. Detectives from the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office Cannabis Regulation Task Force were contacted and responded to the location and a search warrant was obtained to gain access to the unoccupied location.
Detectives located several rooms that were converted for the purposes of cannabis cultivation which contained a total of 340 mature cannabis plants. These plants were ultimately removed from the residence. Several hazardous electrical modifications were also found within the residence and have since been rendered safe.
No one was in the house at the time of the search. There have not been any arrests at this point.
