A 25-year-old man died after he was hit by a tow truck in Coachella early Wednesday morning.
The pedestrian, an Indio man, was walking south on Dillon Road near the Highway 86 Expressway a little after midnight when he was hit from behind by the truck, reports the Desert Sun. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor for the driver in the crash, notes KMIR.
This is the fifth pedestrian death in the Coachella Valley in 2017.
