A Cathedral City man was hospitalized in serious condition after he was struck in a hit and run crash in Palm Springs Tuesday morning.

The crash happened about 4 am on Vista Chino – between Farrell and Whitewater Club drives, according to the Desert Sun. Police say the driver fled the scene.

Police responded to a 911 call a short time later from a home on Avenida Quintana in Cathedral City, where they investigated a silver Volkswagon covered in blood.

The driver of the vehicle, Randy Miller, was arrested on charges of Felony Hit and Run, according to KESQ. The vehicle was taken away from the home on a flatbed tow truck.
