A person is dead after they were hit by a vehicle in Palm Desert on Thursday night.
Police were called the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Hovley Lane a little before 10 pm. The person struck was dead when officers arrived, according to KESQ.

The driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
