A man was killed early Friday morning after being hit by a vehicle on the 10 eastbound near Indio.
The collision happened a little after 2:30 am, according to Cal Fire. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The CHP told KESQ that the driver of the car tried to avoid hitting the man but was unable to. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
