Since everything on the internet is a lie, there has recently been a fake Apple advertisement that claimed iOS8 users could wirelessly charge their iPhones by placing it in the microwave (and not just for art’s sake like one Palm Springs guy).
Made to look like an official Apple promotion, the ad said the iOS8 software update would activate a so-called “Wave-charge” feature to enable the phones to recharge in a minute and a half via microwave frequencies.
Probably the coolest thing about iOS8! Just tried it; never charged a phone faster in my life! #ios8 #AppleWave pic.twitter.com/8AEMCW9W45
