An 82-year-old man is dead after losing control of the 1974 Corvette he was driving Friday morning on Highway 74 outside of Perris.
The crash happened just before 9 am east of Sophie Street, according to the Press Enterprise.
The driver, who has not been named, was driving faster than the 55 mph speed limit, say authorities. A witness told police he saw the man lose control of the car, hit a berm, and then roll the vehicle several time.
The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:50 am.
