A windmill south of the 10 near Palm Springs caught fire on Friday afternoon. Witnesses first spotting the flames around 7 p.m.
By 7:20 p.m. the fire was almost completely out, according to the Desert Sun – who note that there was a traffic hazard reported in the area because several drivers stopped to take photos.
