Police arrest 3, seize 1,000 illegal marijuana plants in Anza

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest of three people after the discovery of over 1,000 illegal marijuana plants at a residence in Anza.

An officer with the San Gorgonio Pass CHP contacted Nathan Zapata and Alyssa Gervais in a high-crime area of Anza on February 21. Through their conversation, the deputy learned that Zepata had a no-bail felony warrant and was on active PRCS. Gervais also had a felony no-bail warrant. Both suspects were placed under arrest, according to the CHP.

After they were booked, officials conducted a search of Zapata’s residence, which yielded the seizure of an unregistered rifle, over 400 rounds of ammunition, 1,033 marijuana plants, 200 lbs of dry marijuana, and multiple grams of heroin.
