A woman looking for her cat stumbled upon a man’s body in Twentynine Palms on Wednesday.
Deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station were called to a home on Indian Trail at about 6:40pm, according to a news release. The woman took the deputies to the location in the desert where she found the man’s body.
The man’s name has not been released.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail are currently conducting the investigation to determine the cause and manner of death.
