Cathedral City police are investigating the death of a man killed in the city Wednesday night as a homicide.
Police were called to Whispering Palms Trail about 9:45 pm to assist paramedics with a possible assault victim, according to the Desert Sun. The man was suffering from trauma to his body.

The victim, described as a 46-year-old male, was taken to the hospital where he later died.
