Police are searching for the person who jumped from an ambulance after being involved in a car crash in Palm Desert early Friday morning.
The collision happened about 3 am on Interstate 10 at Washington Street, according to KESQ. Paramedics said that a patient at the scene was uncooperative after they arrived at the scene.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol told the TV station that the person was being transported by ambulance to the hospital, but jumped out after the vehicle stopped to wait for a police escort at Cook Street.
The person ran off and was not located.
