A woman who allegedly stole a minivan in Cathedral City is being sought by Sheriff’s deputies after they say she led them on a pursuit where she crashed into several vehicles, then escaped.
Police received reports of a drunk driver at Avenue 52 and Sunset Drive in Coachella at 5:15 am Sunday, reports the Desert Sun.
Deputies arrived to find a sparks flying from a Ford minivan that was driving on three wheels and a rim. The driver refused to pull over.
During the pursuit, the minivan struck a parked truck, then later a car on Genoa Street – where the minivan was disabled.
The woman, who is believed to be a woman in her 30s, fled on foot.
