The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department is searching for a man they escaped from the back seat of a patrol car on Sunday evening.

Charles Brown, 31, was arrested on narcotics charges at about 4 pm and was taken to the Victorville police department to be questioned, reports KTLA.

Brown managed to free one hand from his handcuffs and then managed to somehow escape the vehicle, according to a news release.

Police searched the area but were unable to find him.
