Since launching Cactus Hugs waaaaay back in the summer of 2014, I have done my best to give you some laughs, information, and nonsense similar to what Kristen and I used to do on our radio show – well, until the corporate suits decided that they could look more profitable to their bosses on paper if they shit canned us and replaced us with a much cheaper syndicated program. But hey, ain’t that everywhere in America nowadays? Ahhhh the magic of capitalism.
It has been rad reconnecting with many of you who enjoyed the radio program through the blog over these past few months – and I have connected with some cool new peeps as well. I look forward to more online nonsense in the weeks, months, years, decades, and milleniums to come.
That said, when the radio station we used to work at gave us the boot – they also gave Kristen and I some walking away money, which was just enough for us to spend on something fun (details of what exactly that is at a later date). Well the time has come for that, so from now until October 24 – you may notice things won’t be quite as topical as normal on Cactus Hugs. That would be because I won’t be posting quite as regularly. There are a couple of things (that could be cool…or lame…you decide) scheduled over the next couple of weeks that will hopefully help you continue to distract you from doing work at your job.
Why am I telling you this? Basically, I thought I should say something so you didn’t think I was simply fired again without a chance to say goodbye.
