The Rams could be back in Los Angeles by 2016.
The L.A. times reports Rams owner Stan Kroenke, who bought 60 acres next to the Forum in Inglewood a year ago, has now joined forces with the owners of the 238-acre Hollywood Park site. The plans call for an 80,000-seat NFL stadium and 6,000-seat performance venue – plus retail, office, hotel and residential space.
The NFL has already stated that no team will be relocating in 2015, but The Rams have an option to convert their lease in St. Louis to year-to-year this season and could easily opt-out after the season and move to Los Angeles in 2016.
The stadium would not involve public financing and could be completed as early as 2018 (with The Rams playing elsewhere in LA leading up to that).
How would you feel about The Rams returning to LA? Let me know in the comments…
