Rancho Mirage High was put on lockdown on Wednesday morning as police investigate a reported shooting nearby.
“The shooting happened near Ramon and Rattler road and it did not involve any students”, Joan Boiko, spokeswoman for the Palm Springs Unified School District told The Desert Sun.
A man was shot in the leg on Ramon Road between Rattler Way and DaVall Drive, according to KESQ and was taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities said they were searching for the suspect in the area of the school.
