The hole in the roadway appeared to be about 15 feet deep and 12 feet by 12 feet wide, according to a newspaper photographer who was on the scene. The city of Redlands urged people to “avoid the area” of westbound Redlands Boulevard at California Street (map) in a tweet posted just before 3 p.m
