Authorities are searching for a man who went hiking in Palm Springs on Monday and did not return.

Search and Rescue teams are trying to locate Michael Kleinschmidt in the area of Bogert Trail and Barona Road.
The 69-year-old man was last heard from around noon in Monday after leaving the Garstin Trail Head, according to Palm Springs Police.
According to @PalmSpringsPD, Kleinschmidt has not been heard from since yesterday at noon when he reached the peak at Murray Hill.

PS Search and Rescue assisted by @chp_riv H-80 have located an unresponsive male on the Garstin Trail. Teams investigating. No further info.
