ITT Technical Institutes is shutting down.
The school is ceasing operations after the federal government notified it that it would no longer accept federal aid for students after it was found to be out of compliance with the Department of Education’s standards twice this year, reports KTLA.
8,000 staff will lose jobs in the closing and 40,000 students will now have to find a new school.
ITT Tech was best known for airing a ton off commercials in the 90s, especially during afternoon television. Here is a spot from 1999:
