Riverside Police: man intentionally crashed into woman’s car, attempted to sexually assault her

Police are searching for a man they say rear-ended a woman’s car in Riverside on purpose, then robbed her and attempted to sexually assault her at knifepoint. .

It all happened last Friday at about 1:15 am on Sycamore Canyon Boulevard, according to ABC 7.

The woman had just filled up her car with gas on University Avenue near the 215 Freeway. She says the she noticed a vehicle follow her as she drove away and onto the freeway.

After exiting off the freeway at Central Avenue, the woman slowed for a traffic signal. That’s when she says the suspect intentionally crashed into her car.

When she pulled over to the side of the off ramp, the suspect proceeded to exit his car and then robbed the woman and attempted to sexually assault her with a knife.  The suspect then drove away southbound on the 215 Freeway, reports KTLA.

He is described as a Hispanic male, about 30 to 35 years old, approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with ungroomed facial hair and a skinny build.

Police released a photo showing his car to be an older model, box style, dark green, smaller SUV with a broken passenger side rear window that looked like it was covered with cardboard.
