A Prius ended up on the hood of the sedan behind it at the Hollywood Boulevard offramp of the 101 Saturday afternoon – in an incident that may have been the result of road rage.
The photo was posted to Reddit with the following explanation:
So there I am idling on the southbound 101 exit to Hollywood. I hear a thump and I see that the silver car in front of me has been bumped by the car in front of that (the Prius).
I count myself lucky that the car in front of me didn’t hit mine, and then I see the Prius rocking back in forth slamming the car in front of it and behind it. On the second or third tap, the Prius really gains some torque and ramps over the silver car.
For an instant I think the Prius is going to drop on me, and I briefly regret all the time spent on reddit, but then the car loses momentum. Prius driver tries to drive away, but she’s trapped. The girls in the silver car run to the side of the road, crying but okay.
I get off the ramp, park, and take my photo. A highway patrol guy shows up. It seems the Prius was in a fender bender with the car in front of her, prompting her rage.
According to ABC 7, California Highway Patrol officers were called to the area at 2:45pm and made no arrests.
Just another day in SoCal.
