Two of the largest raves in Southern California will be allowed to continue at the San Manuel Amphitheater in Devore near San Bernardino.
San Bernardino County supervisors voted 2 to 1 to let Nocturnal Wonderland and Beyond Wonderland continue to be hosted at the concert venue, according to the LA Times. A vote was held after residents complained about safety, noise, and traffic issues.
The county is looking at possibly ending the concerts three hours earlier at 11 p.m., rather than 2 a.m. The supervisors also voted to create a task force to study the safety and impact of events at the amphitheater.
Two people have died of overdoses since the festivals began at the county-owned outdoor venue in 2013.
During March’s Beyond Wonderland, more than 200 people were arrested and 18 were hospitalized.
