UPDATE: He has been found alive.
An active search was underway Thursday morning for a missing hiker in the Indian Canyons area of Palm Springs.
Two men went hiking near Cedar Springs Trail at 8 am Wednesday. At some point the men became separated. Police were notified of the missing hiker a little after 5 pm, according to KESQ.

The search for the missing hiker, a 75-year-old man, was halted overnight, but resumed Thursday morning.
