The Coachella Valley, known for having summer temperatures close to those on the surface of the sun, can also get a bit chilly. Case in point: Wednesday morning.
Temperatures throughout Southern California were pretty brisk with Los Angeles dipping down to 39, San Diego to 44 degrees, and Palm Springs seeing 45 degrees just after 5 am:
Wowza! It's another cold morning for #SoCal. Widespread frost possible for wind-sheltered valley locations. #cawx pic.twitter.com/k3W1HM4dNP

And while 45 degrees is nowhere close to the lowest temperature of all time in The Coachella Valley, it is cold – well, for those of us acclimated to 120 degrees it sure is.
But hey, you bought that jacket all of those years ago, and today you actually get to wear it – at least for a bit, high temperatures will be in the low 60s Wednesday before creeping all the way down to 39 degrees Thursday morning.
