This weekend’s Tex Wash bridge collapse on the I-10 near Desert Center, combined with the fact that another 450 California bridges (5 right here in The Coachella Valley) are listed as having the potential to collapse in a flood, has many asking why the hell are our bridges in such shitty condition?
In July 2014, Jon Stewart’s segment “Shabby Road” explained how government has failed to take care of the nation’s infrastructure.
“It’s crazy how the wealthiest, most powerful country in the world always seems to be expending all its energy to get absolutely nowhere,” said Stewart.
