San Diego Cops Rescue Drunk Woman on Freeway

A woman, passed out in her car in the middle of the 805 in San Diego, had to be rescued by a CHP officer who smashed her window early Friday morning.  A large, empty vodka bottle was found on on the floor in front of her passenger seat.

The woman, 25-year-old Amber Dlaine McKinney Morgan, was stopped right in the middle of the 805 northbound in the Kearny Mesa area.

Cars zoomed by Morgan’s car until a bystander attempted to wake her and was unsuccessful. The bystander filmed the entire incident (raw video at bottom of story).

CH Officer Sergio Flores with the California Highway Patrol arrived and tried to wake her up by knocking on her window (her doors were locked). That did not work and soon the car started to roll.

Flores chased the car and, after a few attempts, was able to break the window with his flashlight.

Morgan was taken to safety and the car was moved. Morgan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
