Police in Orange County are on the hunt for a man nicknamed the “Snowbird Bandit”.
Authorities believe the man may be responsible for as many as 4 bank robberies in Orange County with the most recent occurring Monday at U.S. Bank in Ladera Ranch.
In that robbery, police say the man handed the teller a note, showed what appeared to be a gun tucked in his waistband, took the money and walked left.
This is a photo from the bank’s surveillance cam:
The FBI describes the suspect as being about 6 feet tall, in his 60s, with white hair, glasses and weighing about 240 pounds. In his last robbery, he wore a straw, fedora-type hat and a white button-up shirt with United States flags on it. Anyone with info should call the FBI immediately: (310) 477-6565
There is no word on how the man got his nickname.
