State Senator Jeff Stone’s office was burglarized over the weekend, according to his staff, with the thieves stealing a car, some Dr. Pepper, and sandwiches.
The items were stolen from the office located on Smurr Street in Indio Sunday night or early Monday morning, according to the Desert Sun.
Indio police confirmed the robbery and said that no important files were taken but that a state-owned car was gone along with some things that had been in the office fridge.
“They actually stole our creamer, Dr. Pepper and a couple sandwiches,” District Direct Glenn Miller told the paper.
The car taken was a gray 2009 Chevrolet Malibu with the license plate number 7TZD711.
There was no word on what kind of sandwiches were taken.
