A Starbucks employee has been canned for stealing credit card information, but not before the victim of the theft called her out in the drive thru.
Juana Martinez recorded herself confronting the barista thief at the drive-thru window of a Bellflower Starbucks. “So we got you on camera yesterday, at Ralphs—for $212,” she tells the woman. “So just know the cops are coming up here. They recorded your ass and everything.”
Martinez visited the same Starbucks on New Year’s Day. She told NBC Los Angeles the cashier was taking an extra long time with her card. Soon after, Martinez saw a $212 charge at a Ralph’s grocery store on her credit card statement.
Martinez got the money back from her bank, but that was not enough as she wanted to confront the woman – scolding her when the woman tried to apologize, “What are you sorry about, that you took fucking money from me and my kids?”
“You come to Starbucks to get coffee, not to get robbed,” Martinez proclaims – and, you know, she has a pretty good point.
Starbucks released a statement stating that the woman had been fired from her job.
KTLA reports that Martinez decided not to press charges.
