The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has released images of burglars captured on surveillance video early Friday morning at the Gucci store on El Paseo in Palm Desert.
Police arrived to the scene a little after 3:30 am and saw obvious signs of forced entry. The subjects had fled when initial officers arrived, but information was broadcast which led officers to locate two vehicles believed to be involved in the burglary, according to a news release.
Both vehicles failed to yield to officers and each was involved in a high-speed pursuit. The pursuits were discontinued near Banning due to public safety concerns.
There were no injuries and no information was released about the amount of damage to the Gucci store or what was stolen.
