A standoff lasting several hours ended with a suspect in custody in the La Quinta Cove on Wednesday night.
Police were called to Avenida Navarro about 6:45 pm for a report of a mentally disturbed suspect, according to KESQ. The suspect barricaded themself inside the home and refused to come out.
Nearby residents were evacuated and a SWAT team was called to the area. About 10 pm, the suspect was detained without incident.
Residents of the neighborhood told the TV station that there was another standoff at the same home just two nights prior, with that incident ending with a man taken away by ambulance.
