Two women were arrested on Wednesday after police say they stole formula from multiple Target stores.

While escaping from loss-prevention officers at the Riverside Target with $1,000 in stolen formula, the women sprayed the officers with pepper spray. One of the women’s two-year-old was with them and was also sprayed in the face, reports the Press Enterprise.

The women fled with the child, but were spotted later that night at the Target in Hemet where they were detained. Police say it was the fourth store that they had stolen formula from in the same day.

Riverside Police arrested Alyssa Priscilla Luces, 20, of Rialto, on suspicion of four felonies and six misdemeanors, including willful harm to a child, possessing tear gas, conspiracy to commit a felony and impersonating another person.

Chanel Walker, 29, of San Bernardino was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a felony, second-degree burglary and child endangerment.

The two-year-old was taken to a hospital, then released to another family member.
