A 16-year-old boy was arrested Monday for allegedly committing a sexual assault at a Rancho Mirage park on Thursday.
The alleged assault was reported at 5:48 pm on November 3, reports KMIR. Police say the suspect “befriended” the victim and the two walked to the wash area to the west of the park together, where the alleged assault took place.
The victim was an adult woman, according to the Desert Sun. There were no details about her condition.
The teenager was taken into custody at 9 am on Monday and booked on suspicion of sexual assault.
