A 16-year-old is dead after being found with a gunshot wound at an Indio apartment complex.
The shooting happened shortly after midnight on Saturday, reports KESQ. Police arrived to find the teenager in the middle of the Cielo Vista Apartments with residents of the complex trying to give him aid.
The boy’s identity has not been released and authorities are asking anyone with info to call the Indio Police Department at 760-772-8911.
