If you think a grocery store can’t make an amazing sandwich – you have never been to Bristol Farms.  You won’t find processed turkey at their deli, oh no…they carve that meat right off of a newly roasted bird!  In addition to the best turkey sandwich in the Desert, they also offer up a variety of other sandwiches including brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, and a really good banh mi.
Bristol Farms is at 73101 Country Club Drive in Palm Desert

The Sandwich Spot

The Sandwich spot is partly hidden in back of  The Hair of The Dog bar (do not be scared off by the smell of stale beer and urine), but once you find it – you will be going back again and again.  The menu at The Sandwich spot has a bit of everything including “The Chairman of the Board” (ham, salami, prosciutto, provolone, and Italian dressing), “But It’s a Dry Heat” (Chicken, Hot Sauce, Bomb Sauce, and Pepper Jack), and “The Sunny and Share” (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Avocado).  Pro Tip: get the Dutch Crunch bread.
The Sandwich Spot is at 240 N. Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs

Native Foods Café

Hey, not all good sandwiches have to be made with meat.  Native Foods in Palm Springs does some truly incredible things with tempeh, seitan, tofu, and more.  Feast on a bacon cheeseburger, bacon ranch chicken burger, or a reuben from Native Foods and you just might be tempted to go meatless (at least from time to time).
Native Foods Cafe is at 1175 E. Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs
