The city of Coachella opened the doors to its new 15,000 square-foot library on Saturday.
The library was built at a cost of a million bucks through Measure U, a 1% sales tax voted-in by residents in 2014. The Coachella Library has 20 public computers, meeting spaces, and nearly 30,000 items to check-out.
You can find the library at 1500 Sixth Street. Operating hours our 10 am to 6 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The library is open noon to 8 pm on Wednesdays and closed Fridays and Sundays.
