Temperatures will cool off over the rest of this week (to which, it is about time Mother Nature!!!) and The Coachella Valley could even see some of the wet stuff – plus there is even a slight chance of hail.
A low pressure system is moving into So Cal via Mexico and it is bringing a chance of thunderstorms (and humidity) with it for the rest of the week:

Big Bear Lake and San Bernardino will see the most rain, according to the forecast, with 1.28″ and .69″ predicted. As far as the Desert, the National Weather Service calls for .15″ of precipitation in Palm Springs with only .02″ in Thermal.

The forecast calls for a 20% chance of rain today and tomorrow with that increasing to 40% by Friday. And that precipitation might not just be rain. There is a 5% chance of hail in The Coachella Valley today:

Look for temperatures today to be in the upper 90s, cooling to the lows 90s tomorrow and Friday, then things delve all the way down to the 80s by the weekend.
