The Desert Sun, on a quest to catch up to Cactus Hugs posts from four years ago, recently polled its readers on which fast food joints they would like to see come to the Coachella Valley and, well, it could’ve gone better.
Now to the winners. Out of 2,833 overall responses, coming out way ahead and in first place is Chick-Fil-A with 33.8% of the votes. Church’s Chicken and Shake Shack both tied for second place with 12.1% and Cracker Barrel finished third with 11.1%.
And while a Chik-Fil-A could serve the dual-purpose of serving mediocre chicken sandwiches and providing people a place to protest the company, the local newspaper clearly dropped the ball by not including a better fast food chicken place on its list of eateries for readers to vote on in its poll.
Yeah, that’s Raising Canes and, well, those who have had it clearly know it would be a far superior option than Chik-Fil-A. This is a fact by the way and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.
But, in The Desert Sun’s defense, the Cactus Hugs post about the Coachella Valley needing a Raising Cane’s was posted in 2018 and they probably still have some more catching up to do.
