The Lowdown: So, yeah, you have probably noticed that this Desert X installation is three bus stops at the south end of downtown Palm Springs and you are right! The three are all located near each other right where South Palm Canyon meets Indian Canyon and they are bright yellow, so they are kind of hard to miss.
There is plenty of parking around the bus stops on the street, the parking structure up the way, or you could also hop on the Buzz to check this one out.
These are still actual working bus stops so photo opps are kind of weird since people are just trying to chill a bit before catching their bus – so be respectful as they might just be trying to get home after a long day at work.
Peace is the Only Shelter centers on the Women Strike for Peace, a feminist group formed in 1961 that fought against nuclear testing – which also has some context today.
